Introduction
The heart of the entire Foundation API and the CCP is the Order Management interface. No other Control Panel provides as much flexibility as the Order Management interface provided in the CCP.
An Order actually represents a specific package or Service. For instance a Domain Name is an Order. An Order can have an Action against it. Each Order in its entire lifecycle will go through several Actions. For instance a Domain Name would initially get Registered, then it could be Renewed, its Nameserver details maybe changed, its contact details maybe changed. All these are Actions performed on the Order. Some of these actions may have a cost component attached to it. For instance Registration of a Domain Name, or Renewal of the same, cost money, however modifying the nameservers of a Domain Name do not cost any money.
All actions of an Order that DO NOT cost maybe directly EXECUTED by you, without having to pay for the same. Any action however which has an associated cost can only be executed after Payment. All actions which have a Cost Component attached to it consist of two steps.
Step 1) Requesting the action: You may request an action for an Order from your Control Panel. For instance if your domain name comes up for Renewal, you may Request Renewal of the same. Requesting an action does not actually complete the same. For instance Requesting a Domain Name Renewal does not actually Renew the Domain Name
Step 2) Execution of the Requested Action: The actual execution of the requested action may be done by you or by us. You can EXECUTE the requested action if you have funds in your Debit account (more on this later) or by paying online using your Credit Card through our Payment Gateway. Alternatively you can send us the Payment and we can execute the Requested Action for you.
